Gadsden, Ala. -- Four-star wide receiver B.J. Hammond committed to Mississippi State in June, but his recruitment looks to be far from over. For Hammond, the attention from other schools picked up after he made his decision.

“I thought it was going to slow down, but it’s picked up even more,” he said. “I was open for the longest time. When I committed, they knew I was serious about it, so that’s when they really started coming.”

Hammond says he’s still hearing a lot from Alabama, Arkansas State, Auburn, Purdue and Vanderbilt. Although he’s committed to Mississippi State, there are still two scholarship offers he would like to receive before he signs his letter of intent.
