LEXINGTON, Ky. -- No. 1 Alabama took care of business on the road Saturday, beating Kentucky 48-7.
During the course of the action, a few players stood out as worthy of a coveted helmet sticker.
QB AJ McCarron: He could have easily gotten upset at two first-quarter fumbles by his tailbacks. He could have given up on the running game and forced the ball to his receivers. But he didn't. McCarron steadied the ship and took exactly what the defense gave him. That meant a career high 359 yards through the air.
DL A'Shawn Robinson: It's time to give the true freshman his due. His big, he's strong, and man he's quick. The former four-star prospect has steadily come on at defensive tackle, particularly in passing situations. His two sacks Saturday gave him the team lead in that department.
WR Kevin Norwood: Every game he's there when it counts. He's earned the title of a "clutch player" with his ability to make plays in the biggest moments. Norwood, despite maybe not being the most athletic receiver on the team, continued doing just that against Kentucky, leading the team with four catches for 81 yards and a touchdown, the score coming on what amounted to a jump ball with two defenders draped around him.
