March, 27, 2012
The University of Alabama basketball staff has reached into the state of New Jersey once before to grab former 2013 commitment Jaren Sina, and its now drawing interest from another top prospect from the area, 6-foot-8 playmaker Tyler Roberson.

Roberson, an ESPNU Super 60 recruit, has more than 10 scholarship offers from programs across the country, but he said he’s been receiving the most interest recently from Alabama, Florida and Rutgers.

With the Crimson Tide, head coach Anthony Grant and his staff first took note of Roberson’s skills over the summer on the AAU circuit, and they haven’t stopped recruiting him since.
