Crimson Countdown: Anthony Orr

July, 5, 2013
During the summer, TideNation will analyze each of the scholarship players on the Alabama roster -- excluding the Tide's 2013 recruiting class -- in our Crimson Countdown series. Starting with No. 1 Dee Hart, we will go through the roster numerically, finishing with No. 99 Brandon Ivory.

No. 53 Anthony Orr
Redshirt junior linebacker

Expectations for 2013: It promises to be a make-or-break season for Orr in 2013. His career at Alabama didn't get off to the start he'd hoped when he redshirted his freshman season in 2010 and then spent all of 2011 on the bench transitioning from defensive end to linebacker. Last season didn't hold much promise, though, as Orr failed to see the field for a single snap. Now that he's had two years to learn to play linebacker, it's now or never for the former top-100 defensive end prospect out of Madison, Ala.
