A little more than a month ago, Courtney Upshaw was the talk of the NFL draft, rising up many draft boards with his impressive showing at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. Going against the best seniors in the country, the former University of Alabama defensive end/linebacker prospect showed off the strength, quickness and versatility that made him an impact player in the SEC.
But according to NFL draft analyst Kevin Weidl, Upshaw's success didn't carry over to the NFL combine. Weidl says that despite Upshaw's poor performance at the combine, several teams are looking at him with a high first-round grade.
