Alabama Crimson Tide: Wisconsin Badgers
ESPN 150 offensive guard Viane Talamaivao (Corona, Calif./Centennial) established himself as a 2014 prospect to watch a year ago when he dominated the 2012 Los Angeles Nike Football Training Camp and took home position MVP honors.
Talamaivao performed well again earlier this spring and earned an invitation to The Opening this summer. Recruiting hasn't stopped since that initial breakout performance, but after spending the past few weeks in a boot, Talamaivao is glad to change things up a bit by getting back on the field for spring ball.
Thursday night, Centennial had its spring showcase practice. More than 30 colleges were represented, including Alabama, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, USC and Washington. But Talamaivao was more focused on his teammates.

ASHBURN, Va. – The East Coast and mid-Atlantic states represented well on Sunday as eight players earned invites to The Opening at the Nike Football Training Camp outside of Washington, D.C. Defense ruled the day, led by two five-star prospects from Virginia.
10. Nick Scott
Fairfax (Va.) Fairfax |RB| 5-11, 180
Scott stood out among a field of backs who were overshadowed by the prospects at nearly every other position. He earned the attention of coaches for his strong play and versatility but missed the MVP award, which went to Vincent Lowe (Chesapeake, Va./Grassfield), who also posted the top SPARQ score.
Scott committed to Penn State in February over an offer from Boston College.
ESPN national recruiting analyst Craig Haubert’s take: “He’s got a great frame, and what I like about him as a Penn State verbal, he’s a versatile player. He may not run by you, but he does a good job in route-running.”

Streeter Lecka/Getty ImagesAlabama, with three of the past four national titles, is No. 1 in the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.There's still seven months before the start of the 2013 season, and the teams and their order figure to change frequently, but it's never too early to take a look at the Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2013.
And with three national championships in the past four years, there's no reason to change the team that's on top.

Process wide open for 2014 OT Andy Bauer
Craig Bauer said his son, a 6-foot-6, 305-pound tackle, was looking to explore all options and make a decision sometime in the spring of 2013. Bauer has more than 30 offers from FBS programs, including Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas A&M and Notre Dame. He also has looks from Oregon, USC and Wisconsin.
“Right now, he’s looking around and seeing what’s out there,” Craig Bauer said. “Missouri’s still high up there, but he’s looking at other options. Missouri’s cool with him doing this. They want him to make the right decision.”

2014 WR Bingham visits Alabama schools
FOLEY, Ala. -- Junior wide receiver DeMarcus Bingham (Foley, Ala./Foley) is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, but he might not have to wait long. Bingham believes Mississippi State might offer either this week or next week, and other interested schools could follow suit.
“He’s getting a lot of mail from a lot of different people,” Foley coach Todd Watson said. “A lot of recruiters now are a little more cautious with early offers. I think a lot of them want to see what he does in his junior year and go back and evaluate tape from there.”

Jordan Scarlett (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School), one of the premier sophomores nationally, wasn’t sure he would even be able to run his route on the first play of the game against top Ohio program Trotwood-Madison. It was Scarlett’s first career start.

“I think our experience was better than we expected,” Miller said. “We loved the campus. They have great football facilities, a large coaching staff. They take care of their student athletes there on the academic side, plus you have to work hard to be the best you can, to be champions.”
Even though he lives in Ontario, Miller has followed the Tide over the years, and both he and Knevel were excited to see the facilities firsthand.
