Miami 'hasn't given up' on Sony Michel
By Brent Sobleski
Sony Michel (Plantation, Fla./American Heritage), the nation's No. 2 running back, decided to attend school out of state. Michel pledged his commitment to Georgia in April. An in-state program is still making a push in hopes of Michel flipping his commitment.
It will be problematic for Miami to flip Michel despite being the local school. Michel was a Georgia lean since September.
The Hurricanes may not have given up on the possibility of landing Michel, but it doesn't mean he's strongly considering Miami. The Hurricanes' staff should instead concentrate on on its top running back commitment, Joseph Yearby (Miami, Fla./Miami Central). Yearby is still listening to other programs, particularly USF.
