Jason Hatcher's decision is a 'toss up'

By Brent Sobleski

UPDATE: Three programs continue to vie for Jason Hatcher (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) after he officially decommitted from USC. Hatcher is particularly interested in two programs, but one might have a slight edge.

ESPN Recruiting Nation Midwest coordinator Jared Shanker told Rumor Central that Louisville is still the favorite to land the ESPN 300 recruit. Although, Kentucky is quickly gaining ground. A recent visit to Kentucky in favor of one to Louisville certainly has Kentucky coming on strong as national signing day approaches.

"I'll say it's 60/40 Louisville," ESPN Recruiting Nation Midwest coordinator Jared Shanker wrote. "That number is moving in UK's favor each day."

USC is still in the picture despite Hatcher's recent decommitment.

"It looks like USC is definitely in the running for Hatcher, too," Shanker added. "It could be a toss up for wherever he lands."

UPDATE: Four-star defensive end Jason Hatcher officially had a change of heart and is no longer committed to USC.

Hatcher decommitted  USC via twitter according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times.

The four-star defensive lineman has been impressed with local programs Kentucky and Louisville as of late. Both will now compete to land the ESPN 300 recruit.
