'14 OL favors Rutgers
By Brent Sobleski
Rutgers was the first BCS program to offer offensive tackle Jacquis Webb (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili), and the Scarlet Knights are in prime position to eventually land a commitment from the lineman.
A pair of ACC programs are also interested.
"Right now, Rutgers stands out to me, a lot," Webb told Todderick Hunt of NJ.com. "They seem like really good people. It's a really supporting program.
"I think it's really a brilliant program, and it's an honor to be offered by them. And they have so much school spirit. When I went to go visit for the game, it was impressive. Everything was just professional and big."
Webb may not claim many offers at the moment, but interest will likely grow as he starts to visit other campuses.
"UMass, Buffalo, Pitt and Virginia Tech are schools also showing solid interest in Webb," Hunt noted.
