Michigan's chance to impress WL RB

Running back isn't a top priority for Michigan after it landed the nation's No. 5 back Derrick Green (Richmond, Va./Hermitage) in this year's class. The Wolverines still expect to take a running back or two in the current class. Michigan already offered six running backs for 2014. None of them appear to be heavy leans in favor of the Wolverines, but Michigan has an opportunity to make a positive impression among one of the ESPN Watch List running backs. Elijah Hood (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic) is among the team's top targets at the position. Hand said he is favoring Notre Dame at the moment, but Michigan's will get a chance to legitimately enter this recruiting battle later this month:

2014 Michigan running back targets: Elijah Hood
"Hood has Michigan in his top group along with Notre Dame, North Carolina, Clemson, Ohio State and Georgia Tech. He is visiting Notre Dame and then Michigan on Feb. 24, so the coaching staff will soon have a chance to raise its ranking on his list."
