Mike London's pivotal season at UVa
By Brent Sobleski
Virginia regressed last season. After two promising seasons of growth and improvement under the supervision of head coach Mike London, the Cavaliers fell flat in 2012. The result is London will enter next season on the hot seat.
"If UVA can't get to at least seven wins, I suspect the school will be tempted to look in a new direction," Bruce Feldman of CBSSports.com wrote. "And maybe then the school steps up with a stronger commitment (to the football program and its staff). For London's sake, it'd be better if it does so sooner than later."
London's standing became fairly obvious once both the team's offensive and defensive coordinators were replaced. Virginia finished 4-8 last season. A three-game improvement isn't a given within the ACC. But London showed previously the team can win eight games under his watch. It will have to do so this time with a revamped coaching staff.
