Rutgers may flip Tulane commit

By Brent Sobleski

Defensive end Ade Arune (La Porte, Ind./La Lumiere) is receiving plenty of attention late in the recruiting process. Arune is verbally committed to Tulane. Two BCS schools are positioned to flip the talented defender.

"...his pledge is considered soft," Todderick Hunt of NJ.com wrote. "N.C. State -- the school he took an official visit to last weekend -- is the third school thought to be a finalist for Aruna, but with Rutgers landing his final official visit before signing day, they have positioned themselves well with the rangy athlete."

It would be the second time Arune flipped his pledge if he were to do so. Arune was originally committed to Southern Miss before changing his mind in favor of Tulane.

Both Rutgers and North Carolina State see Arune's long and lanky frame and must believe they can develop him into a legit edge rusher.
