BYU's OC indecision

By Brent Sobleski

BYU's search for a new offensive coordinator continues, but the Cougars may have a favorite to land the position. Paul Peterson of Sacramento State and Southern Utah's Steve Clark both interviewed for the position. One is reportedly in contract discussions.

"I've been told that BYU is very close to hiring SUU OC Steve Clark to coach WR's for Robert Anae and his new offense," Hans Olsen of ESPN 700 in Salt Lake City reported. "Deal isn't done yet. "

Clark's offense was ranked 56th last year among the FCS ranks, but he has ties to BYU as a former graduate assistant.
