Sooners' QB wildcard, Cody Thomas 

Oklahoma has had the luxury of Sam Bradford and Landry Jones at quarterback for the past five years. There was very little question who would lead the team since Bradford won the starting position in 2007. Oklahoma will now conduct its first quarterback competition since that time.

Blake Bell is considered the favorite to replace Jones. Trevor Knight and Kendal Thompson will push Bell to start. The wildcard could be incoming freshman Cody Thomas (Colleyville, Texas/Heritage).
