Behind the plate, Phegley looked more comfortable as he worked with John Danks, whom he caught during Danks' minor league rehabilitation assignment.
"I think I feel more comfortable back there, and it’s still the same game," Phegley said. "The jitters are out. It’s time to start grinding and trying to help this team to win. I think we had a couple of close games, and we’ll try to get them back home (Monday night against the Cubs).
Phegley didn't hurt his chances of seizing more playing from from Tyler Flowers.
"He comes up here and doesn’t seem frazzled or anything like that," manager Robin Ventura said. "He doesn’t have the jitters. He’s putting it in play and having tough at-bats."
